Tempo Village Renewal Project

Description of Works:

The aim of this project was to improve the recreation and leisure facilities for the entire community of Tempo and deliver environmental improvements and regeneration to the village.

An additional objective of the project was to support the role of the village as an economic and social hub for the local community to engage in recreational activities such as walking, running or other exercise programmes as well as the improvement of football provision for the Maguires GAA membership and wider community.

The Contract entailed the construction of a new bitmac finished access road into the facility from the main village main leading into Tempo along with associated car parking areas.

Bitmac finished footpath network with associated public/ street lighting for usage in the evenings and night.

Grass finished sports field with 2.4m high perimeter fencing and ball-stop netting behind GAA Goal Posts.

Erection of directional signage, and construction of low-level retaining walls.

Throughout the project we worked in close liaison with different service providers for diversion or connections i.e watermains, NIE and council street lighting.

Temporary traffic management had to be carried out during periods of the contract works as the main road provided a key linkage between nearby towns Omagh Co. Tyrone and Enniskillen Co. Fermanagh for major traffic networks. The main road always remained operational with one lane traffic management implemented when required.
